Fictions of the Mind: A Psychoanalytical and Cognitive Narratological Analysis of Mediacy in D.H. Lawrence’s <i>The Fox</i>

As its main goal, this study seeks to contribute the analysis of narrative discourse by investigating strategies and devices provided modern prose fictions like D.H. Lawrence’s The Fox for constructing/representing fictional minds or consciousness characters in texts. paper is structured two sections. Drawing from insights both Classical Poststructuralist narratology, theoretical section brings together narratological theories, methods, concepts representing textual consciousness: psychonarration, free indirect (narrated monologue), interior monologue, stream consciousness, focalization, reflectorization, cognitive mental states. second analytical which constitutes a practical demonstration how above can fulfill descriptive, interpretive functions with respect question are represented manifested narratives.
